I appreciate so much your response to my request. And I was teasing about the Tennessean to Texas, I am quite sure there are as many people in Texas with ties to Tennessee heritage as most other state have to some place else. I remember several years ago, my mother and I, visited the LDS. library and I said to her then "I don't know what we are doing out here for most of our folks came from the east coast."
Yes about the only thing that I have on Mary Watterson (born in Ala. in 1864) is, that she was the sister of my husband's grandmother Dora Waterson. Dora married J. M. Jones in Coryell county in 1888. Died before 1894 leaving two small sons. He knew very little about her, don't know where she is buried or anything. His grandfather remarried Deliagh Worrell in 1894 also in Coryell co. He later returned to Tennessee.
I have made contact with her other brothers and one sister's desendants. And through a copy of information that I received from some of them it stated that Mary had married a Lawlor and at that time had one child. Don't know anything else about her. She may have married someone else before her death. Would love to find some of her decendants.
I will respond later to the Thomas Lafayette Jones.
