1860 cenus Webster Co, MS:

Clements, Isam(sic), 43, b GA
" Mary A., 36, b GA
" Thomas S., 20, b GA
" William L., 17, b GA
" Leanidus ?., 13, b GA
" John R., 10, b GA
" Absolum C., 7, b GA
" Edward, 4, b GA
" James E., 5/12, b GA

From gap in age of children I would guess he fought in the Civil War, have you looked for a military record, or a widow's pension?

I would check 1830 census for Monroe Co, GA for Clement families with male right age to fit Isam/Isham still at home. Then look for that head of family in land and probate records, does Isam/Isham show up as an heir?

Happy Hunting (^_^)
