I see from your message history your father was born 1932, do you have a copy of his birth certificate? It should give the name of his father, his age at the time of his birth and where his father was born. Jack often is a nickname for John, you might consider that as his first name, too. (^_^)

Is that the town of Houston in Harris Co, TX, or the county of Houston??

Have you found the family on the 1930 census? I don't have access to that, but there are people who browse this site who do, you might post a query with something in the subject box that will catch their eye -- Need 1930 census lookup. Give all the info you have on the family. Do you know the names of your father's siblings? How about year of birth for any of them? Miller is a pretty common surname, so anything you can add that will help to narrow the playing is good.
