I assume you found Tyler on the 1910 (SD) and 1920 (CO) census, did you look for the 1930? I don't have online access to that one. Were they in TX by 1930?

SSDI shows last residence and benefit for Patrick Otis was McAllen, Hidalgo Co, TX.

You didn't mention son Robert, who is on the 1920 census. Looks like from SSDI he may have stayed in MN(?)

You say Birdie was buried in her native MN, but according to the two census records I found she was born in IA. Maybe she grew up in MN(?) Have you checked to see if Tyler is buried next to her? He was born in MN and may have been returned to be buried there, too.

You gave death dates, but no birth dates, so I didn't know how old any of the people were, that's why I went looking at other records. Since Tyler is older then Birdie, I'm assuming he died prior to 1963 when the SSDI computerized online index begins. Have you found an obituary in TX for Birdie? It might mention if and when her husband predeceased her. It might go so far as to say she is being buried in MN and if you're real lucky, it might say she is being buried next to her husband. Look for something in the newspaper there in MN, too.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
