There are people with the name Groeschel on the ship ben Nevis, which brough Wendish Immgrants to Texas in 1854. The one I have in my files from the passenger list is Andreas Groeschel from Laerka, near Weihsenberg, Sachsen, Germany. He was born 3 Oct 1793, died 1 Aug 1855 in Texas (I don't have a better location). It could be they are from the same family. There is also a Maria Groeschel who was the wife of John Kilian, the Pastor of the 1854 group. Maria was born 1 Jul 1823 in Weigersdorf, Rothenburg, Sachsen, Germany, and her sister, Hanna, was traveling with the family.
