Hi Joan, Long time no hear Ha Ha. I found Lucy Jane Adams ,Abbott's Death Certificate she died in dooly co Ga March 1953 anyway she was listed on it as being born Dec 6,1860 instead of Dec 6,1869 that is on her grave stone also place of birth listed as Tx Her Father's name was William Adams No mothers Name listed. Her son signed the death cert. Now Lucy Jane , also had a brother James or John thomas Adams . I believe it would be in or close by shelby co Tx that you might find her Family on a census record or something . J B Sanders Book is Wrong Malissa Choate Married a doc Posey in1870 so she couldn't have married Fm Abbott on Jan15,1883 so it should be Lucy Jane Adams and FM Abbott Jan 15,1883 . There were only two F M Abbott's in Shelby County Tx at that time One was Fm Abbot b 10-08 -1837 married Emeline Bryce and my g grandfather FM Abbott bAug 14,1861. Can you help me with William Adams ? Lucy had told one of her daughters her mother passed away when lucy was 11 or 12. There is a Adams Cemetery in Shelby Co Texas but i don't know if it is any relation to Lucy. Thanks Lori Webb spud16@bellsouth.net
