I noticed in this old posting of yours that you mentioned Ezekiel Harris born 1815. SC. I am looking for inforation about him as he is my G.G.G. Grandfather. Do you have anything further on him?
I am looking for information about the uncle of my great-grandmother. His name was Ricard Irving Harris. He was born in Stephen's County or Palo Pinto County Texas around 1850. When his sister Rebecca Harris Black died, two of her sons were sold by their step-father, and the other two small girls were given to a neighbor family to be raised. Eventually, Emma's (my gr/grandmother) was taken in by her uncle Dick Harris and raisted until her late teens. My grandmother used to tell us that Emma's parents were killed in a train wreck near Abilene, so I suspect that Emma actually looked at Dick and his wife as her parents, and they were the ones killed in the train wreck. Does anyone have information about this family? Dick Harris' father was Ezekiel Harris, born 1815 in SC, but that is all I can find. Can you help?

Thanks,
Kory
