Hello, I too am searching for Texas Haltom/Halton. I have maternal great grandmother by the name of Mary Jane Haltom born in 1854 maybe, married to William Daniel Morrow in Collin county Texas near Farmersville, on June 1, 1866. Found them on Collin county 1870 census, and info on marriage liscense, says she was born in Indiana. They had 5 children before she died sometime after their son William Hugh Morrow (my grandfather) was born 3-15-1878. My grandfather re-married August 17, 1879 to a Sarah Teafatiller of Waxahachie, Texas in Ellis county and had 7 more children. I don't know who her parents were or when and where she died or buried, cannot find any record of her other than the marriage liscense and the census. Had been looking for her under the last name of Hatton for a couple of years as that is name some Morrow researchers have, but I found the marriage liscense so know it was Haltom/Halton. There is a Haltom Family History online by Patrick R. Pearcy that covers lots of Haltoms and their line that came to Texas I don't know for sure but have found a Mary Holtom that could be my great-grandmother but I cannot find out how to contact him to see if he has any new info that would help. It is possible his information can help you. The address is www.etherton.net/haltom.htm Please contact me if our Haltom lines are same.
