E.N. Young 1871-1879 in TX

I am looking for information on Ezekiel Norman YOUNG aka Norman Eugene YOUNG who graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, VA in 1871 and who at some point before 1880 moved to TX, married a girl named Mollie and produced a son, Virgil, born in TX before returning to VA where they lived with his parents(1880 US Census). The excerpt from the register of former VMI cadets says he was a lawyer, District Atty. and judge in Texas but doesn't give a specific location. E.N.Y. died in Roanoke, VA but I believe another son, Towne YOUNG, returned to Dallas, TX.
Any further information or leads on any of the above mentioned persons would be appreciated.
