I have some new info on this if it helps. I found out that Almon Arthur Hare did not live in Sonora,Texas but was traveling with his son, Almon Junior hare" age: about 11 and was killed in a car crash. Almon Junior, my father-in-law, says he remembers seeing his dad on the morgue table with a tag on his toe. He,AJ, was sent home to Iowa,(Ottumwa, Oskaloosa area, to his mother,Viva Gertrude Stockdall Hare. She died 6 months later. AJ then went on to be past around by family.(I think?) Anyhow, My mother-in-law seemed to think he was buried in Sonora Cemetary, Sonora, Texas in what she called the "Popper" section. Supposedly a section for the "poor". Any info on Almon Authur Hare or the car accident would be appreciated. Also, it wasn't quite clear if that was his exact name or if Arthur was a nickname, or arthur almon. Sorry.
