I'm not sure if protocol requires a response to your reply as this is my first attempt at online genealogy communication, but regardless I would like to say thank you. Your suggestions obviously come from someone with a great deal of experience and I appreciate the guidance.
In this case, it will be interesting as the 1850 Itawamba County Census lists CLARISSA SEAY(MICHAEL's widow) as living with her son MICHAEL and his family. If MICHAEL inherited, would other children have inherited, too in most cases? I suppose that is one of the interesting things to be discovered in the process. I'm looking forward to the journey.
Thanks for your help,
Donna Seay Trammell
