Combined info from TX Dth Idx 1964-1998 and SSDI:

Charles Mellor, b 7 Jul 1882; d 3 oct 1972 Potter Co, TX; last residence Amarillo, Potter Co, TX; widowed; SS card issued in TX.

You might look for an obituary for Charles, survivors are usually listed and a good way to pick up married names of female family members. If survivors live out of the immediate area, town/state of their residence is often included, too.

Check Potter Co, TX GenWeb site, some GenWeb counties are putting their cemeteries online, and you might find Ruth buried with Charles. Maybe other Mellors, also. If not on the county site, be sure to check the archived section of the TX GenWeb Project.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
