TX Dth Idx 1964-1998:

William Roy Steed, d 8 feb 1965 Swisher Co, TX; widowed.

Several items on the Swisher Co, TX GenWeb site. Type in Steed in their search feature and up come three.

One is for the Rosehill Cemetery in Tulia:

W. R. "Bill" Steed, 23 Mar 1873 - 8 Feb 1965
Mary N. Steed, 19 feb 1875 - 8 Mar 1932

Sketches of early settlers include info on Will Steed worked for the a number of years for the Tucker family.

You might want to post a query on that site, also ask if anyone has a county history and would they check for any info on the Steed family.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
