On the obits ... I did not know Steve HICE except by site, but I do know most of his survivors, including his brothers & sisters. They knew nearly nothing about their grandparents except for rumors. Most of what I have came from the Census, or death / marriage records I have come up with. I know Ada Busby HICE for years but I was not doing genealogy at the time so I did not ask the right questions. Charlie, John's son remembers that his aunts Mattie and Anna both married HICKS and lived in Oklahoma and that most of the children from them remained in that area. I just started this a year or so before Steve died but never got a chance to go up there with the family.

I think this may very well be the family I was hunting for and Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have looked long and hard for these folks at the library but could not find them. Do you think that maybe Sarah HICE is the parent of these children as John E. & Rebecha seem awfully old to have had a 2 year old with them ( although I know that can happen & has to some of my family)

I am not sure who the John Wesley HICE is. John Thomas supposily died in 1943 & is buried in Mt.Zion Cem. LoveCo., OK.
I will try to get on Rootsweb Queery board but the last time I tried it I could not. How do you do that one? Thank you so much again. JBryant
