AOL users are now receiving their GenForum responses!!!
AOL users were not receiving response notifications from GenForum for possibly two weeks.I checked on the GenForum Maintenance Forum, found others with same problem, and Paul from Tech Support gave me some suggestions regarding AOL.After making a couple of calls to AOL I am now receiving my reponse notices from GenForum, and so are others who were having the same problem. So, if you have not heard back from a posting you made "anywhere" on GenForum, check their eddress and see if they are AOLers. If so, contact them, they may be unaware of the recent problem.I noticed because I am a heavy user of GenForum -- you may have noticed. LOL
For those who do not know how to find a submitter's eddress, look for "posted by" and click on their name.Wait a few seconds, up will come their eddress.(GenForums way of trying to protect us against spammers -- don't post your eddress out on the main page where spammers can grab and use it)Now, if you were unaware of this, while there check just below the eddress and you will see "Show this User's Message Posting History" click on there and you can check when and where someone has posted before.A good way to see if someone has posted recently. If you find an old query, and do not get a response back, check their message history, if they have not posted anywhere in a couple of years, they may have gone bye-bye.
You can also check to see last time you posted on a forum, maybe youneed to post an updated query. (^_^)
