Here are a couple of "possible" matches from 1880 census.I wonder if the first one might be yours, head of house is W. L. Stephenson, and a son might think his father's middle name/initial was the same as his own.I know my great grandfather always said he was named for his father (who died when he was young).Turns out they have same middle initial, but it stands for different middle names.
