Hi Audrey,
I will try to dig up some information for you in the next day or so about the Derrick line. I am sure I have something that will be of use to you. The Derrick family is quite large. I am sure that we are probably related. My great grandmother was Maryann "Annie" Derrick. Her parents were James Michael Bloom Derrick and Mary Virginia Kimbrough.I have a cousin who is still living who has extensive records of the Derricks. She is actually my Grandmother's cousin. I am not feeling well tonight but maybe tomorrow I will feel like digging up some information. Please be patient with me, I am sure I can help you.
Nice to hear from you. Just off the top of my head the only things I can tell you is that Maryann Derrick was born in Sasockwa, Ok. had 8 children, 5 of which lived into adulthood. All are deceased now except for the youngest girl.Maryann moved back and forth between Texas and Oklahoma. Her final residence was Tulsa, Ok. and she is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery, in Tulsa. She died in 1948 of Leukemia.
Sorry that is all I have right now... I have some kind of head cold/virus/aching all over thing. Maybe tomorrow I will feel enough better to get you some more beneficial information.
Talk to you later.
