I had the opportunity to check with the State Archives for John B. Howe and his wife. There is no way to determine if this is either of the individuals, their offspriing or completely unrelated persons. However, if you are at a dead end, a copy of their death certificates may well supply additional answers or at least clues. Here is the information:

NAME: Howe, John B.
COUNTY: Harris
DATE: 7-15-1920
CERTIFICATE NUMBER: 22857

While there was no match for Elizabeth, this may be worthwhile.

NAME: Howe, Eliza
COUNTY: Harris
DATE: 5-4-1918
CERTIFICATE NUMBER: 21149
