I have such a small amount of data, but I would be very grateful if you will try a look-up for me. (Major) don't know if this is part of his name or a title. John Shurrell Lewis don't have bdate, died in 1882 in East Texas. Wife Mary Elizabeth (Bettie) Cox, b. 17 Dec 1851, d. 14 Apr 1936. Possibly children would have been: Robert Major Lewis ca. 7 y/o; Willie Lewis (F); Inez Lewis (F). This is my husband's gggrandfather and little is known about him. He was buried in East Texas after falling from a log into a ditch, some say he was prone to siezures, some say heart attack. Anything would be appreciated.
