Hi joan, thanks for replying and for you suggestions. YES I do know I'm in for some fun, espeacially not haveing any birth or death dates to go on. Not many family members still living on my grandmothers side who would know anything.
What I do know is my grandmother was born in 1893 in Vacherie Louisiana and moved to Donaldsonville Louisiana in 1922 at the age of 29. She lived there for 8 years and meet my grandfather there when he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, this was in 1929-1930 and she was 37 yr old at that time. She was expecting and had my father on 11/15/1930. She moved to Houma Louisiana.
I would guess my grandfather would have been born around the same time in the 1890's. Do any of the SSDI of Robert Lee Burton fit around this time frame. If my grandmother was 37 yr old when she had my dad in 1930 I would guess my grandfather was in his late thirty's or forty's.
Hope to hear from you again.

thank you
Linda B. Wintzel
