Using TX Dth Idx Online and SSDI, this might be a match:

Samuel Edward b 3 Feb 1892; d 10 Aug 1982 Tyler Co, TX; last residence Woodville, Tyler Co, TX; SS card issued in TX.

You might look for an obituary for this man, survivors are usually listed, and you could tell if he is the right Samuel. If survivors lived out of the immediate area, county/state of their residence is often given. Also, good way to find out married name of daughter. Check that county site, some GenWeb counties have a list of volunteers who will do lookups. If no list, post your query see if someone would check obits for you. Someone may recognize Samuel's family and be able to let you know if there is a connection. Happy Hunting.
