I came across your message that included the surname BURTS. My sister-in-law's mother's maiden name is Burts. In doing my research, I've discovered that it is not a commmon name. I thought I would post what I have on her family in case there is a connection.
John R. Burts - born 1866; died 1948; buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Waco, McLennan Co., Texas. Unsure of wife's name except that the first or middle name is suppose to be Ellen. Her grave marker gives only date of birth, 1868. She is also buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

Robert Claude Burts (M) - b. January 20, 1901; d. April 02, 1967, Mc Lennan Co., Texas.
Note: Robert Claude Burts w\was born January 20, 1901(Social Security Death Index) or 1902 (cemetery inscription listed on internet), and died April 02, 1967 in Mc Lennan Co., Texas. He married Sylvia Grace Thompson in 1924. She was born 1904, and died 1962.
Both are buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Waco, McLennan, Texas. Robert's occupation: Horse trainer & blacksmith.
Sylvia Grace Thompson is also listed in some records as Inez. From what I have been told, Sylvia's mom was full blooded Commanche Indian. Sylvia's father one day left the house walking down the railroad & he never returned. Sylvia's mother had no way of caring for all 5 children & so she had to give them to orphanages.

Dorothy Estelle Burts (F) - b. February 02, 1927, McLennan Co., Texas.
Bobbie Jean Burts (F) - b. December 31, 1930, Mc Lennan Co., Texas; d. Unknown. Bobbie moved to Bossier City, Louisiana & married Steve Stevens. They had 2 sons, Gary (died in 2001) & Davis.
Virginia Ann Burts (F) - b. June 24, 1934, Mc Lennan Co., Texas; d. Unknown.
Leslie Wayne Burts (M) - b. July 15, 1941, Mc Lennan Co., Texas; d. November 25, 1997, Mc Lennan Co., Texas. He never married. He is buried in Rosemound Cemetery, Waco, Texas.
Cause of Death: Diabetes
