William Swain - died in Hunt County in1882

I need help!! I am trying to find information on William Swain who is burried in Lebanon Cemetery in Hunt County, TX. The only information I have from his tombstone is 1807-1882 (Mason).
His wife was Susan Williams Swain, and is also buried in Lebanon Cemetery. Tombstone: 1811 - 1880 (Eastern Star)

William Swain was born in South Carolina (I think in Abbeville County). He moved to Mississippi, Holmes County prior to 1870. One of his sons, Samuel R. Swain (born 1838), remained in MS.

It is reported that William Swain moved to Hunt County, TX in 1880.

Does anyone have any information on this Swain? I am trying to find his parents, etc. Why did he move to Texas?
