Hi Joel,
Don't know where you live but I do think you may have some of your informaiton just a little mixed up. First you need to get a map of Texas and look at it pretty good. You will find Henderson County to be west of Hopkins County so it would seem that if one was coming from MS then they should come to Hopkins first.
All that aside I would suggest that you post on the Lamar and Red River County Forums. I do know that both those counties have quite a few residents of both those names and at one time there was even a used car dealer in Paris, whose name was Jesse Thrasher and was probably a decendent of yours of the same name.
