I am trying to locate information on my grandfather. He left Bremen with a destination of Galveston, Texas. He entered the port of NewOrleans on SS Franksfurt on April 27, 1881. In 1883 five neices and nephews from Switzerland arrived ? at Old Indianola a port near Galveston where they were met by Conrad Amberg. They travedled to Spring Texas and worked in the sawmill aand as cooks and maid. Conrad Amberg would have been about 31 - 33 years of age. I need your help!! Thanks!
