Info from CA Dth Idx Onlie:
Santos Garcia, b 2 Nov 1891 Mexico; d 7 Sep 1948 San Diego Co, CA; 56 yrs old; mother's maiden name Solis; father Reyes. [death certificate will probably have given names for her parents, too]
TX Birth Idx Online 1926-1949:
Ventura Garcia, b 2-24-1928 Nueces Co, TX; mother Santa(sic) Reyes; father Ventura Garcia.
Other children probably born prior to beginning of this index.
So, you can figure Ventura died after 1928 (birth of son) and prior to 1948 (death of his wife).Brownsville is in Cameron Co, TX.Check the Cameron Co, TX GenWeb site, some GenWeb counties are putting their cemeteries online.
Check for an obituary for Santos, it might give some background on her, and maybe survivors in her family. Were these people Catholic? You might look for Catholic church records, I've heard they can sometimes be better then early vital records.
Garcia is pretty common, but I thought Amparo might be less common.Well, there's one on the TX dth idx in Cameron Co, but he is in the time frame to maybe be a brother to Ventura (Sr).Maybe son of Ventura and Santos was named for this man.
Combined info from TX Dth Idx Online and SSDI:
Amparo G. Garcia, b 1 Feb 1895; d 16 Aug 1975 Cameron Co, TX; last residence Brownsville, Cameron Co, TX.
I think you should do some serious research in Cameron Co, TX.Try census records, post a query on that site.If this Amparo is brother to your Ventura, then parents on the death certificate would be Ventura's also.
May I make a small suggestion?Typing your query in all the same case, whether it is caps or lower case, makes it rather hard to read, the information tends to run together. And, in future queries be sure to include any dates, or approximate dates, you might have. When someone moves doesn't really tell us how old they were. You want to catch the eye of other researchers, and then try to hold their attention long enough that they might recognize the family.
You might post queries on all the GenWeb sites, for all the counties you have listed in this query, and any others you can think of, maybe someone will recognize the family. You have a couple of names not quite so common, so they may jump out and catch someone's attention.Keep up the good work, I think you are on the right track.
