George,
The Jas Walker, KY you seek is descended from the Walkers from Orange, Cabell, Giles, and Wayne Cos VA/WV.
There is a book published by June Ashworth of THE WALKER FAMILY TREE, 1996 and costs $30 + $3S&H. It is over 900+ pages and well documented.
I have information 4 Lucretia "Creesy" Walker and her siblings but not with me at this time.
I'll be happy to exchange more information with you, but request you contact me direct:
[email protected] after Labor Day, if you don't mind.
Her grandfathers' were named Thomas, Charles and James and these names continued from the early 1660's down to present day lineages of the Virginia, Ky, TX lines. I can give you more information. Her brother, James, or perhaps an Uncle James ran a saw and grist mill in Brenham, Washington Co. TX.I just researched all these Walker names yesterday at the Houston Tx library and found they very much contributed to the fight for Independence during the early days of the Republic of Texas.I'm looking forWalker graves as we write.I did note a reference to Buffalo Bio "Bayou"from letters dated 1855 from James Walker to his brother Thomas Walker which I can also share with you from the Walker Family Tree book.
Will get back to you with more.I'm related to a Charles Walker Jr, James Urban Walker, and John Lee Walker of this same Walker family.
Cheers,
jb
