Croppers in Texas
Does anyone have info on Cropper family in Texas, anywhere from 1839 to the present. I'm particularly looking for anything on Elisha G. Cropper who served in the army for the Republic of Texas for three years for which he received land claims in Concho, Commanche and DeWitt Counties? He had among several children a son Nathaniel and his children were Augustus B., Joseph, and Annie L. (married a Scarbough). Augustus had wife Alvina, children: Lilly Belle and Clarence (they lived in Orange Co., Texas). Elisha was said to have had other brothers before him also served in the army for early day Texas. Elisha's daughter, Lethea also married a Robert Lambert or Lamberth and lived in Texas, then married a second time to J. C. Lisenbe in Belton, Texas. Would love to hear from anyone related to the Croppers or who has info. Thanks for any and all help!Sandy
