Jesse Little,
Do you know anything about a Moses Taylor and wife "Dicey"or "Guicey" Hosia who married in Pike Co. Georgia 6 April 1839 Pike Co. Georgia. Their daughter Mary Jane Taylor married my G.Grandfather 'Joseph'(J.J.) John Peugh/Pugh in Thomaston, Upson Co., Georgia and moving ca 1873-5 to Alabama. They arrived in Beckville, Panola Co.,Texas around 1891-3. Dicey resided with Joseph Peugh/Pugh and her daughter Mary Jane (Taylor) Peugh in Beckville. The 1900 census shows Dicey/Guicey (Hosia) Taylor to be 82 years of age and born Oct 1819 in NC as were both of her parents born in NC. She was widowed. I am trying to find where she was buried and more of her history. Joseph Pugh/Peugh was a farmer, stone mason, and a Circuit rider for the Methodist Church along the Texas Louisiana Border. Several of his children married into Beckville families by the names of Shivers, Kuykendall, Johnson, Barksdale and etc. I hope you will recognize some of these names and be able to help me locate my GG.Grandmother Dicey/Guicey Taylor's place of burial. Some of the family was buried in the Youngblood cem., but I am not familiar with other cemeteries. Please email me at lorettak@nts-online.net. I need help and I hope you will be able to assist me with my search for the where-abouts of Dicey. Thank you very much. Loretta (still in Tx)
