In my posting, I was attempting to me a long complicated story short and easy.Charles Stewart and Bernice Lake (both born in TX, location unknown, circa 1890s) were married but after their second child, Alice Bernice, was born in 1925 they parted ways.Bernice (Lake) Stuartmoved to New York with John Francis McIsaac (b. 1897; d. 1954) whom she met in Coffeyville, Kansas and Stewart's two children:Charles William and Alice Bernice. The two children assumed the last name of McIsaac and were raised in NYC, NY.A child was born to John Francis McIsaac and Bernice (Lake) Stewart November of 1928.Therefore, between 1925 and 1928, the separation of Charles Stewart and Bernice (Lake) Stewart occured.I have the birth certificate of Alice Bernice, as well as her obituary.I have requested the birth/death certificate of Charles William (son), as well as military records.I have also requested the birth certificate/death certifcates of the daughter born in 1928.
I was hoping in the posting of my message at this site that possibly there would be a connection of Charles Stewart or Bernice Lake with another researcher's family in Texas.
