Briggs family Texas & Arkansas
Father: given name not known; Civil War veteran; played the fiddle
Mother: given name not known; Choctaw Indian; maiden name possibly Cohen (Cohan, Cowen); died in Texas
Family moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas, about 1885-1890; Briggs ran a store near Hot Springs.
Children: Abert, Dollie, Atha, Ada, Martha Ann (b. Paris, TX, Jan.10, 1879; m. John Phillip Arman in 1895).
Martha & John Arman's children: Dolly Belle, Nelllie Kay, Edward Burt, Velma Jewel, Wilbur Bunn, Thelma Jean, Roy Ralph, Elmer George.
