Looking for info on Thomas Benton Elam born about 1848 in Dallas County, Tx. Married abt. 1868 to Bettie Wade in Dallas. Thomas was the son of Isaac and Margaret (Lanham) Elam and the grandson of Jesse and Rosa (Evans) Elam. Thomas and family were listed on the 1900 Dallas County census. His wife Bettie was listed on the 1910 census in Jones County, Texas living with a son and listed as widowed. Bettie died in Austin, Travis County in 1916. Cannot find anything on Thomas. Thomas and Bettie had 5 sons one of which was David Pinckney Elam who was on the 1910 census in Austin, Travis County. I believe the families moved from Dallas abt. 1903-1905. Cannot find a death record or a military record on him. Have a lot of info before and after Thomas that I am willing to share. The only other thing I know about Thomas is that he was a confederate soldier, but can find no military record. Thomas also went be the names of Thomas, Bent, and T.B. Can anyone help?
