Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
It appears your best bet is to get a copy of Thomas Holcombe's death certificate. While not all of the information is always shown, it calls for his parents names, their state of birth, his date of birth, the undertaker/funeral home handling the burial, the informants name (usually a spouse, a brother/sister, or adult child of the deceased) and if you are real fortunate, the name of the cemetery where he was buried. If you have his date and place of death, instructions for obtaining a death certificate are at: http://www.vitalrec.com/tx.html
