Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Ron,
If you are fortunate enough to have the day, month and year of death you can probably get someone in Decatur to check the library newspaper archives and see if there was an obituary or even just a death notice. Go to the GenWeb Wise County Site and see if there is a volunteer that does lookups. If not put a message on the Query Forum Page and ask someone to do the lookup. Of course if you live close enough you can do it yourself.
