A big thanks Billie, The Poe's I was interested in from Shelby Cty, Ill had a Jeduthan in the family and also an Abner. Jed. was in the 1830 census and missing in the 1840 and all others. They also had an Abner who was listed, but shows up in Ill. through 1865. Your data does show a Jeduthan and an Abner in the same household. Its a good chance they may be those I seek. Again a Mrs. Nancy Wheat married a Getheran Poe on Jan 26, 1836. Nancy was about 30 years old at that time. Chances are this couple aren't in TX at all. Thanks. John
