You can send an email request directly to the TX State Lib & Archives <geninfo@tsl.state.tx.us> Ask them to check the State Wide Dth Idx for 1903-1940, and give them the name of your ancestor. Also, give your name, address, telephone number and email address. This is done by volunteers, do not ask any other research questions. We do not want to rock the boat and lose this free service. More then likely they will email you the answer, it might take a few days, be patient. If they find the name, county, death date, and certificate number, you then can request a copy by going to http://www.vitalrec.com/tx.html
