Was there ever a WRIGHT CO. in TX?

I was told years ago that the area of TX now known as Blossom TX and Deport were once in a co. called WRIGHT CO. named for the Charles Monroe Wright Family that settled there just after the WAR BETWEEN THE STATES can anyone verify this?
