You have death year, do you know full death date, and location of death? If so, you can obtain a copy of his death certificate which should show the names and birth locations of his parents. Check Tarrant Co, TX GenWeb site, some GenWeb counties are putting their cemeteries online. You can check see if any Pennys or Kerleys are buried in the same cemetery as your grandfather.
