No I have not yet checked the counties around the same area. I am trying to get to where I can check the soundex but the problem is that I think that they moved to Oklahoma befor 1900 and my serch is not going well there either. There is a soundex for 1880 but I haven't found ant thing on that. The 1900 soundex I have not tried yet. There are so many James Haneys that I need to find him with the Wife and children to be sure I have the right one. I don't mind at all you offering sugestions some times as you say you get so caught up in the problem that you overlook to solutions right under your nose.
