Since you know when James & Mollie died, I would obtain copies of their death certificates. They should show the names and birth locations of their respective parents. Armed with the name of Mollie's father you could look for the family on the 1880 census. With info from DC for James, you could look for his family on the 1870 census.

With location and info on Mollie's family, you can track them back a ways. Maybe even find enough to check with the NARA branch in Ft. Worth, see if they have anything on Choctaw Indians. That branch covers TX, OK, LA and AR. OK state may have some info on Choctaws, too. Check OK GenWeb site, see if they have anything listed on Indian research.

Check and see what she has on Indian and Choctaw sites.
