I think you need to look at "The History of Grayson County Texas", there is a biographical sketch on Claude Groves, son of an Englishman, John Groves, and a French woman, "Towny" Ann Waples Groves, was born in MD 1828. Claude married Martha Baker of AL about 1847. Info on their children, then Martha died, along with twin babies, in LA in 1867. The info on 2nd wife and children varys from your info. Submitter Carwyn C. Groves, is a descendant of Augustus, son from 2nd marriage. Book published by Grayson Co. Frontier Village, near Dennison.
