Have you tried the Lamar Co, TX GenWeb site? Some GenWeb sites are putting their cemeteries online. When you find death dates, check out obituaries. Also, post a query on that site, if they were there that early good chance they are in a published county history. Ask if anyone has copy of county history, and will they check their copy for any info on your family.
