I'm sorry I hadn't gotten back to you sooner. I had inadvertantly posted my e-mail address wrong, it has been corrected, and hopefully I'll start getting my e-mails.

About Nathan James Williams and Mary Jane Boykin. I have been able to obtain alot of information about Mary Jane Boykin, but next to nothing on Nathan James Williams. I think it might be because he was a full blooded choctaw indian, and it's harder to find information on Native American blood as well as African American blood.
Nathan James Williams was born in Marengo County, Alabama on 3 Sept. 1834, he died on 13 Aug. 1864. Nathan and Mary married on 27 Mar. 1858. They had the following children; Sara Matilda, William Franklin, and James Monroe (my great-grandfather). They, at one time, had lived in Tom Green county, Texas.

Thank you for any help you may have to offer.
