Do you know when and where Harry died? TX began keeping vital records in 1903. If Harry died in TX after 1903, obtain a copy of his death certificate. It should have the names and birth locations of his parents. Now, his father may have originally been named Jessie, but look at dates, he wasn't named after "the" Jesse, who was born in 1847. Since Harry named one of his children Jessie, it sure might have been his poppa's given name.

You also might want to look at 1860 federal census index for TX, for a Jessie/Jesse Cummins. If you find one, check and see if he has a son named Harry about 2 yrs. old. If none shows up, check MS, they may not have moved until after the census was taken.
