Not sure if this is a post about a Henry Allen or a Henry Allen Lewis. My family is rooted in the Church of Christ and some of the Allen's came to Arkansas and Oklahoma from Texas. Wondering if any connection.
I am from Gowers, Cobbles and Allen's in OK, TX and AK.

I am doing genology search on my direct line of descent, many from TX, OK, and Harmony Arkansas and surrounding area. Direct Line of Descent = Allen's, Baskin's, Smith, Campbell, Higgins, Cowan, Laster, Boen, Acre, Belt, Gower, Cobble, Calhoun, Stuart.

Known Allen marriages,Craft, Turner, Pryor, Copeland, Cowan's, Ryker, Lewis, Grigsby, Huston, Schuepback, Thuston, Neumann, Goldman, Bonham

I am the son of Bernice 'Gower' Allen and Dwight Milton Allen.

Bernice Gower (mother) was born to Luther Edgar and Nellie Jane 'Cobble' Gower in Tulsa on Aug 14th 1928. Nellie Jane's mother was married to Dan Cobble a baker in Carr, TX. Luther Edgar was born to unknown and Kathline Gower in Dennison, TX.

Dwight M. Allen (father) who was born in 1928 to Elmer Allen and Dorthy Baskin of Harmony Ark.

Dorthy Baskin (my grandmother) was the daughter of Frank C. Baskin and Mary N. Smith, Frank was the son of John Middleton Baskin and Mellisa E. Laster. John was the son of William Baskin and Rebecca Gibson Belt, William was the son of Hugh and Sarah McKinley Aclhoun, Hugh was the son of William Baskin Sr and Mary Stuart. William Baskin Sr. and his two brother (John 1695-1740 and Robert c1705 c1790 S.C.)immigrated along with Pickens Calhouns and Reids from County Donegal, Northern Ireland. Understand their fathers name is thought to have been John.

Elmer Allen (my grandfather- buried in TX)was the son of Thomas H. Allen and Phoebe Campbell also of Harmony Arkansas. Thomas H. Allen was the son of Joe Allen and Fannie Higgins. Thomas was born April 12 1850, died Feb 5, 1925 (married twice, owned a farm in Harmony, Had two sons and a daughter with first wife and four sons and eleven daughters with his second wife (total 18 children) buried in Harmony, Ark. Joe and Fannie moved to Arkansas and settled the family farm in Harmony, Arkansas. They had 7 children (Martha, Vicey, Katherine, Adam, Bunyan. *Thomas H, and Minerva. I do not know where they came from, think it may have been KY or TX depends on whoes stories you listen to. Others in Harmony such as the Baskins emmegrated from Ireland through Deleware and worked their way down the blue ridge from PA to MD to VA to SC and apparently then headed West. I think they came to Ark vis Tenn. I have no information on Joe Allen or Fannie Higgins parents. I am looking for more of the family, the family pedgree data, geneology, and family history. Hope to hear from you.
