Judy, my Cherokee Bill had a son who was William C. Taylor. This son had a land warrent in Alabama in Lowndes county. Later he married a Martha Riddle in Cherokee County Texas. I know nothing about Wm C. NOR the father Cherokee Bill. Family history has it that the Taylors were Scots and I heard the there were a group of Cherokees who essaped from the trail of tears and intermarried with a Scot setttlement, but I have not had the time to check on it. Wm C and Martha lived and had children in Cherokee county Texas
