If you go to the Handbook of Texas Online and type in William B. Stout, you will find some info on the location and your man. Items #5 & 6, and one of the sources is history of Titus Co, TX. I would check for a copy of that. Post a query on the Titus Co, TX GenForum and Titus Co, TX GenWeb sites, see if anyone has a copy and will check it for your man. Also, see what the GenWeb site has put online, too.
