I took less common name and found DC for Banks H., his father listed as Rufus, not Ruben.

TX Dth Idx thru 1976:

name: Banks H. Pruitt
death date: 26 Sep 1956
death place: Austin, Travis, Texas
gender: Male
race: White
death age: 72 years 11 months 18 days
estimated birth date:
birth date: 08 Oct 1883
birthplace: Gainsville, Texas
marital status: Married
spouse's name:
father's name: Rufus Pruitt
father's birthplace: Mississippi
mother's name: Unknown
mother's birthplace: Unknown
occupation: Retired Fireman
place of residence: Waco, McLennan, Texas
burial place: Waco, Texas
burial date: 26 Sep 1956
additional relatives:
film number: 2114934
digital film number: 4032108
image number: 2876
reference number: v X cn 50571

Followed up on this to the Find a Grave site -- -- I just entered surname of Pruitt, state of Texas and county of McLennan. Found Banks and his wife, with lovely double headstone pictured.

Rufus Pruitt and wife, with pictures of their headstones. The submitter has added additional information, his parents and grandparents etc. I would get in touch with them, find out their sources etc.

Madison is also buried there, shown as Madison Banks Pruitt. I think he may be the son of Banks, not Rufus/Ruben. On the 1910 census Banks, his wife and a son are listed in McClennan Co, TX. Son is Banks Jr.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
