I am also researching James M.C. Scott and his wife Nancy Myrick Scott. Their son, Isom Matthew, is my line. I really don't know much about the Scott's family except according to a census, James was born in TN 1 March 1824; married 24 November 1844 in Lauderdale County, AL and died 16 June 1891 in McCulloch County, TX. This family was in AR by 1848 because son, James A. was born at that time. I found Francis L. Myrick, Nancy Myrick Scott's brother in 1860 in Hempstead County, AR in households close together. According to the 1880 TX census, James father and mother were both born in NC.

I would love to visit with you. My e-mail address is Thanks.
