SANTA ANNA, April 15 (Spl). Mrs. Rebecca O. WILLHELM, 85, died early Sunday at her home here after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Edgar WILLHELM of Paris, Texas; four sons, Glenn WILLHELM of Denver, Colo., Arch WILLHELM of Fort Worth, Fred WILLHELM of Phoenix, Ariz., and Arthur WILLHELM of Lodi, Cal.; three daughters, Mrs. L. R. ALEXANDER of Seattle, Wash., Miss Ollie WILLHELM of Chicago and Miss Beatrice WILLHELM of Santa Anna; three brothers, Arthur HURLEY of Mason, Tom HURLEY of Minco, Okla., and William C. HURLEY of California; two sisters, Mrs. Sam PIRTLE of Mason and Mrs. E. L. ALLISON of Melvin, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held here at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Seventh-Day Adventist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Paris.
Rebecca Orlena was born to George Freeman HURLEY and Nancy Abigail SMITH on 2 SEP 1870 in Gray Rock, Red River County, Texas. George was born 14 MAY 1847 in Montgomery County, North Carolina and died 24 AUG 1921 in Katemcy, Mason County, Texas. Nancy was born 26 APR 1850 in Davidson County, North Carolina and died 12 FEB 1931.
Rebecca's paternal grandparents were: Daniel HURLEY (1817-1859) and Melissa Emaline GIBSON (1827-1904) of North Carolina.
Rebecca married William Edgar WILLHELM on 8 DEC 1889 at her home in Katemcy, Mason County, Texas. Their seven (7) children:
Glenn 1890 -1982;
Arch 1893 - 1966;
Fred 1897 - 1992;
May (ALEXANDER) 1898 - 1989;
Olive 1901 - 1990;
Arthur 1904 - 1991; and
Beatrice (REISWIG) (STEEVES) 1907-1995.
